Syllabus
The text-book is Calculus , 4th edition, by Edwards and Penny. B-14-1 covers Chapters 1-5.
ASSIGNMENTS
It is most essential that you practice the concepts and techniques
you learned about in the lectures. Therefore there will be a weekly
homework assignment. Do each and every problem on those assignments.
A number of them you will hand in
and will be graded. In addition, there will be unanounced 10-minute
quizzes covering the homework problems.
The final grade is assigned on the basis of the homework+quizzes (20%),
the 2 midterms (20% each) and the final (40 %).

Midterm 1: Thursday, October 30, 1997
Midterm 2: Monday, November 24, 1997
Final: Tuesday, December 9, 3:00-5:00, 1997
